Reading “unschooling” experiences

So there is the theory and then there is the practice. You can take an idea, or a mix of ideas, to market yourself and then there is the practice, adopting others’ ideas and subsequent effects. Is it a cult? If I posted this link in any New England homeschool Facebook groups, I wouldn’t definitely get backlash or banned for not being “supportive” of “different homeschool styles or philosophies”. For sure!

The video in that article is so cringeworthy. I would expect a normal 6 year old to be able to do MUCH better than what she showed.

Facebook does have a high proportion of cultish communities. Social media is extremely addictive and these systems are designed to promote this kind of behavior.
